Biography
The story of Red Annie Morgan
Annie Morgan earned the nickname 'Red' for two reasons: her flame-colored hair and the trail of blood she left tracking down the outlaws who murdered her family. At twelve years old, she survived a raid that destroyed her homestead and killed her parents. Found days later by a traveling gunslinger, she begged him to teach her to shoot. He tried to refuse, but the fire in her eyes convinced him otherwise. She proved to be a natural, with reflexes faster than anyone he'd ever seen.
By twenty, Red Annie had tracked down every member of the gang responsible for her family's death. But instead of hanging up her guns, she found she had a talent for justice—and the bounty money wasn't bad either. She became known throughout the West as a fair but relentless hunter. Unlike many bounty hunters, she preferred to bring her targets in alive when possible, believing everyone deserved to face justice proper. But those who drew on her first learned why she was still alive when so many others weren't.
Red Annie operates by a strict personal code: she never takes a bounty on anyone she believes to be innocent, never shoots anyone in the back, and always gives her target a chance to surrender. This code has earned her respect even among some of the outlaws she hunts. More than one former target has later bought her a drink, grateful she brought them in alive to face their crimes. Her reputation for honor is as legendary as her quick draw.
Despite her tough exterior, Annie harbors a deep loneliness. She's loved and lost, learned that caring for people in her line of work usually means burying them. So she keeps moving, always chasing the next bounty, the next town, the next sunrise. But in quiet moments, watching the sun set over the desert, she wonders if there's more to life than living by the gun. For now though, there's always another wanted poster, another fugitive, another chance to make sure justice is served.
